Driver crashes car after fleeing from police

A man and a teen girl took the local police on a high-speed chase Thursday morning in Kansas City, Missouri. Furthermore, the man and teen had stolen a car that was running, as the driver was trying to warm it up. Likewise, the pair tried to flee police, and a helicopter followed them to Sterling Road and Interstate 470 where they began driving erratically. According to police, the vehicle was driving into oncoming traffic, and eventually tried going into a school area where police placed down stop sticks; the car never ran over them. Finally, the driver of the stolen car ran through a red light on West 79th Street and Wornall Road and crashed into a pickup truck. Following the accident, the passenger began running from the scene until he surrendered to police. Luckily, no one was injured in the crash.
