If you were driving on I-64 in Corydon, Indiana on Thursday, chances are you may have seen a few cows running wild. Likewise, early that morning, a cattle truck flipped over between mile markers 92 and 105, causing havoc all over the roadway. The accident occurred when, John Forester fell asleep at the wheel, hit the median, and overturned the truck. In addition, all lanes had to be closed because cattle were roaming free on the highway. In total, 88 cows were on the truck at the time of the crash. Sadly, about 20-30 cows died; one was hit by a semi, many were found dead inside the trailer, and approximately nine ran away. Luckily the driver of the cattle truck suffered minor injuries, and the driver of the semi, which hit the cow, was not hurt. Thus far, no charges will be filed against the cattle truck driver.
