10 killed when prison bus hits train

In Penwell, Texas on Wednesday, ten people died when a bus carrying inmates slid off the icy road, down a hill, and into a freight train. Furthermore, the horrible accident happened on Interstate 20 overpass where an earlier accident may have contributed to the bus crash. After the bus had slid off the road, it landed on its side adjacent to the train tracks. Sadly, eight of the inmates, as well as two corrections officers died in the horrific crash. The train, which hit the bus, was a Union Pacific train with four locomotives, and 58 cars, which were carrying parcels and packages. Two people were on board the train, and uninjured from the crash.
