Dozens of people were hurt, and many killed in an accident, which involved a commuter train, and a vehicle crash in New York. In addition, the tragic accident happened when a Metro-North train hit a vehicle at the railroad crossing in Valhalla Tuesday night. The accident occurred when the driver of the vehicle stopped on the tracks, got out of the car to look at the rear of the vehicle, and got stuck under the crossing gates.
Tragically, after the train struck the vehicle, the front rail car began to burn, and the third rail shot up and pierced the train. Sadly, the driver of the vehicle, as well as six passengers aboard the train died in the fatal crash. Likewise, 12 people inside the train also suffered injures as well.
