STL teen injured in 1-44 semi accident

Wednesday afternoon a teen driver crashed into a semi on Interstate 44. Likewise, the crash happened in Franklin County, Missouri east of the Grey Summit exit when the 17-year-old lost control of his vehicle, and hit the side tanks of a semi. As a result, diesel fuel spilt out all over the roadway, and all eastbound lanes were closed for hours until everything was cleared up.

The teen driver, which hit the semi, also crashed into another car. In addition, a fourth vehicle was also involved in the motor vehicle crash when it was hit by debris. The teen driver was taken to a nearby hospital and suffered moderate to severe injuries. Luckily no other people were injured in the crash. Thus far there are no reports of what may have contributed to the accident.
