Snowy roads cause massive pile up in Maine

Wednesday morning on Interstate 95 between Bangor and Newport, Maine has started off with a large accident resulting in a shut down of Interstate 95. Heavy snowfall in the area is the culprit for the poor road conditions in the area that have contributed to the large crash. Likewise, the interstate is shut down on both northbound lanes due to the pile up.

Luckily there are no fatalities reported for the massive crash, yet there are at least six people who have been injured; a few people are in serious condition. The huge crash includes a semi, a school bus, and several vehicles with a total of 40 vehicles involved. Drivers in the area are advised to take the Etna and Newport exits to avoid being stuck in the mess. The stretch of road where the crash occurred will be closed for the next several hours while crews clean up the scene.
