Semi driver dies in fiery crash

Statistically speaking, semi accidents are some of the most deadly crashes on the road. Sadly that statistic is even true when it involves one single semi. Tragically Tuesday night in Hall County, Nebraska one person is dead following a single vehicle accident. In addition, the crash happened on Alda Road, which is just south of I-80. A semi was headed east on the I-80 exit ramp when it failed to stop at the intersection.

The semi then ran through the intersection, hit a tree, and as a consequence caught fire. Tragically, the entire truck was engulfed in flames, and it took two fire departments to put the blaze out. The driver of the semi died at the scene, and the name of the victim has not yet been released.
