A 48-year-old former employee of Life Care Center has been charged with sexual assault and his bail set at $75,000. The charges are stemming from abuse that occurred over a period of time at the facility in South St. Louis. The victim is a disabled woman in her 50s who authorities say was unable to consent. The defendant has been charged with first-degree sexual abuse and first-degree sodomy/attempted sodomy. The facility refused to comment on the charges due to the ongoing investigation.
