One dead following ambulance-vehicle crash

Sadly one person is dead following a crash between an ambulance and another vehicle. Furthermore, the accident happened early in the morning Tuesday near Bronson Battle Creek Hospital when a vehicle ran a red light, and struck an oncoming ambulance. Likewise, the ambulance was en route to the hospital with its sirens blaring and lights flashing when the vehicle hit it.

In addition, the ambulance was carrying a heart patient at the time of the crash. Although the patient was successfully transferred by another ambulance to the hospital, they sadly died a short time after arriving. A fireman who was inside the ambulance at the time of the crash was injured as well. The driver of the vehicle that ran the red light did not get hurt, and speed and alcohol are presumed to be a factor in the crash.
