Jeep recalls for air bag issue

If you drive a Jeep Cherokee, it's time to check your vehicle. In addition, Jeff is recalling over 228,000 SUV's all over the world due to a software issue which affects the airbags. The issue causes the side airbags to inflate without reason. The recent recall even covers the newer models, and further demonstrates the unreliability of many other vehicles in regards to reliable and safe air bags.

The air bag issue can understandably cause accidents even before a crash happens. It seems as though in Canada, many of the air bag mishaps have luckily happened off the road. It is understandable that many drivers could be startled by sudden air bag inflation, and could thus cause an accident. According to Chrysler, they have no knowledge of accidents or injuries related to the air bag recall.
