Children unharmed after bus crash

Friday morning in Affton, Missouri was a scary start to the weekend following a vehicle crash with a school. In addition, the early morning crash happened at Weber Road and Valcour Avenue when the driver of a vehicle hit a bus loaded with 25 children on their way to school. Likewise, following the crash, the vehicle became trapped underneath the bus up to the car's window, and then caught fire shortly thereafter. The driver of the vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital, and their condition is unknown.

Luckily no children, or the bus driver were injured in the crash. Furthermore, the heroic efforts by the bus driver helped to keep the children safe. Following the crash, the bus driver acted fast by evacuating all the children off the vehicle, and across the street to a safe spot nearby. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation, but it is believed that the vehicle sideswiped the bus, which caused the crash. As for the children, they continued their days off to school as they normally would.
