Car crashes into Philadelphia fire station

Early Friday morning in Wissinoming, Philadelphia a car crashed into the front garage of a fire station. The crash happened on Van Kirk Street, which is near Harbison Avenue when the driver fell asleep at the wheel. Luckily the driver only suffered minor injuries to their face, which included cuts and abrasions. Furthermore, the vehicle was completely totaled, and the impact pushed a new ambulance the station had recently purchased back about 6-8 feet. The new ambulance sustained heavy damage and had to be towed from the scene. Likewise, it was a miracle no firemen were injured in the crash. Typically typically the fire station is very busy, but at this time no one happened to be passing through the front doors.
