2-year-old girl killed by Pit Bull

Although many people may argue that pit bulls are a safe dog breed for families to have, data may suggest otherwise. In addition, sadly yet another mauling from a pit bull has killed a young child. Furthermore, Sunday night in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, a pit bull dog killed 2-year-old, Taylynn Devaughn. Likewise, Devaughn was mauled by the dog at the residence at the 3900 block of Fleetwood Drive, which she was visiting at the time of the attack.

After the accident, Devaughn was transported to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries; an autopsy will be preformed. It was not reported who the little girl was at the residence with, or what her relationship the owners of the dog are. The pit bull will be quarantined for 10 days at a local kennel. After a full investigation of the incident it will be clearer whether or not charges will be filed to the owners of the dog.
