Woman Pepper Sprayed Following DWI Crash

A St. Louis County woman made it a rough night for a Missouri State Trooper on Saturday when she repeatedly resisted arrest following her vehicle crash. Likewise, 26-year-old, Danielle Scola crashed her vehicle while driving intoxicated on Highway 94 at Highway D early Saturday night. Scola initially traveled over on the right side of the road, over-corrected her vehicle, and thus flipped her SUV on its side. The only passenger inside during the crash was, Shane McKInney who suffered only minor injuries. Following the accident, a trooper tried to handcuff Scola, she pulled away several times, and was eventually placed inside the squad car. Next, Scola began to unbuckle herself, and stand up inside the car. As a result, the trooper took her out of the squad car, she resisted again, and he pepper sprayed her. Eventually at the hospital for treatment, Scola began making personal threats towards the officer, as well as his family stating, "I hope to God you don't have any kids or a wife, cause they're dead," said Scola. Yet again Scola tried fleeing from the trooper causing him to use the pepper spray again as she tried to kick him in the chest. Scola is currently being held on $25,000 cash bond, and her blood alcohol at the time of the crash is unknown.
