A town in Florida is mourning the death of a young woman who died as the result of a vehicle accident Monday morning. The crash occurred when Jessica Mahn rammed her car into a semi as she was driving the wrong direction on Interstate 75 in Tampa. Witnesses to Mahn heading the wrong direction, made frantic calls to 911 stating the incident as they too were trying to avoid being hit. Likewise, the driver of the tractor-trailer flashed his lights, and tried to move over a lane prior to being hit, but it was too late. As a result, Mahn hit the left side of the semi, and landed on the median. Mahn was rushed to a nearby hospital, but died a short time later due to her injuries. An investigation is still pending, but police believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. Mahn's boyfriend is a Tampa fireman, and was not on duty at the time of the crash.
