At Meyerkord & Kurth, we are passionate about helping people. As a personal injury law firm, we are committed to serving not only our clients, but the local St. Louis community as well. Earlier this month, Meyerkord & Kurth presented a $16,000 check to the United Brachial Plexus Network (UBPN).
UBPN will use the donated funds to continue its Missouri summer camp in 2015. The camp is designed for families affected by brachial plexus birth injuries, a rare but preventable injury usually seen in infants and children. The camp is typically held every other year, but with the help of our firm, will continue in 2015.
Anise Braggs, the camp coordinator for 2014 received the donation from Steve and Geoff Meyerkord and other members of the firm. The 2014 UBPN camp was held on September 26th – 29th at Trough Lodge in Potosi. Members of the legal team at Meyerkord & Kurth were present for the event.
Brachial plexus birth injuries are all too common in the United States. Although some brachial plexus injuries are caused by natural circumstances, others are the result of careless medical professionals. UBPN is dedicated to helping families reduce the risk of these types of birth injuries through education and awareness. To learn more about UBPN, visit www.ubpn.org.
