One killed in crash between a vehicle and semi

Tragically, semi crashes are typically fatal, especially when it involves another vehicle. Furthermore, one man was killed Monday night in Colorado when they hit a semi truck, head-on. Prior to the fatal crash, the driver of a Toyota ran 250 across a median, hit the passenger side of another vehicle, and then continued in the southbound lane heading towards an oncoming semi. As a result, the driver of the Toyota was struck on the driver's side corner by the semi. Sadly, the passenger in the Toyota was killed from the impact with the tractor-trailer.

Luckily no other passengers or drivers were injured in the crash. Moreover, this three-vehicle accident has prompted an emergency response in the area. Likewise, it took emergency crews hours to extract the victims fro their vehicles. Thus far, drugs and alcohol does not seem to have played a part in the cause of the crash, yet it is still under investigation.
