Beer baron has settled wrongful death suit

Beer baron, August Busch IV, has finally settled his wrongful death suit for the 2010 death of his girlfriend Adrienne Martin. The court approved a $1.75 million dollar settlement. Martin was found, in an apparent overdose, at Busch IV’s mansion in 2010. The plaintiffs made the proceedings difficult, much to the Courts chagrin. Despite the media circus an agreement was eventually reached.

Dr. Kevin Martin, Adriennes then husband, filed the original wrongful-death lawsuit on behalf of their minor son, Blake Martin, in March 2011. Soon after, Larry eby and Christine Trampler, Adrienne Martin’s divorced parents, successfully appealed to join the lawsuit. The case was presided over by Judge William Syler, who seemed less than amused at the bickering between the plaintiff’s. While on the bench, Judge Syler was not very pleased with Trampler for announcing, to the media, there would be an agreement by Nov. 14, no matter what; the announcement may have hastened the agreement, avoiding a battle over money.

Martin was found on the busch compound in Huntleigh on December 19, 2010, of an accidental overdose. The autopsy showed prolonged cocaine use and found that Martin had overdosed on the drug oxycodone. After an investigation, police found on evidence to indicate this was anything other than an accident. Busch IV has expressed deep concern for Blake Martin, who will be paid $1.35 million. Trampler has agreed to accept $200,000 and Eby has agreed to an $200,000 out -of -court settlement.
