Fatal Crash Near Eureka

Early Saturday morning, two people died after an accident on Interstate 44 near Eureka's city limit. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's crash report, the driver of the vehicle hit a tree and both people were thrown from their car. The two were a married couple- a sixty-six year old man and seventy year old woman. They were driving a Chrysler PT Cruiser, and failed to follow a turn. It is unclear as to what the exact cause of the crash was and the incident is currently under investigation.

However, events like this remind the public of the potential for danger in vehicle operation. Driving is something many people often take for granted, but Missouri requires drivers use the highest standard of car while driving because of the potential for serious injury or death in an auto accident.
