Dierbergs Removes Stone Fruits Due To Possible Contamination

Better safe than sorry! Although there have been no reports of illness, Dierbergs Markets have decided to pull various stone fruits from their shelves in fear of a possible listeria contamination. Likewise, listeria can be especially harmful to pregnant women, young children, elderly, and those with weakened immune systems.

Wawona Packing Co. based in California issued the voluntary recall of the following organic fruits due to possible contamination:

  • Plums
  • Nectarines
  • Pluots
  • Yellow peaches
  • White peaches

The recall does not include locally grown produce. If a product has negatively impacted you or a loved one, the experienced St. Louis personal injury attorney's at Meyerkord & Kurth would like to hear from you.
