Tragically, a professor at the University of Kansas died in a crash the day before Christmas. The fatal accident happened on K-10 in Lawrence, Kansas when professor Alexander Tsiovkh's vehicle crossed the centerline and he hit a semi. Tsiovkh was traveling westbound, and after he hit the semi, both vehicles exited the road, and came to a rest in ditches on the opposite sides of the highway. Tsiovkh died as a result of his injuries. The driver of the semi was taken to a nearby hospital, yet there is no word on his condition. The cause of the crash is still pending investigation.
