Chain-reaction crash closes highway

It was a hectic scene Wednesday evening following a chain-reaction crash, which caused havoc on Interstate 75 in Sidney, Ohio. Furthermore, driver, Ronald Haas who caused the crash left the scene of the accident, and is now being charged with fleeing. At the time of the accident, Haas was behind the wheel of a commercial truck heading south when he rear-ended a vehicle causing eight others to hit one another, one including a semi.

Following the accident, Haas left his truck behind on the westbound berm and took off on foot. Luckily only four of the people involved in the accident suffered only minor injuries and were treated and released. Haas was later apprehended wandering in Piqua, and was taken to the police department and booked.
