Meyerkord & Kurth, LLC: A Legacy of Legal Innovation
A woman has recently brought suit against a funeral home whose vehicle she claims rear-ended her vehicle. The incident that led to this lawsuit reportedly occurred on December 15, 2012 when the female plaintiff was traveling south in the area of State Route 3 and Palmer Road. According to court documents, the male defendant, driving a vehicle owned by defendant Dashner Strauss Funeral Home, struck the rear-end of the plaintiff's vehicle. As a result of the accident, the female plaintiff alleges that she suffered neck, back, shoulder and knee injuries, incurred medical costs and lost wages. The plaintiff asserts that the defendant is to blame for the accident stating that he negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to keep his vehicle under proper control, drove too fast and followed her vehicle too closely. The lawsuit was filed on August 12 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against the individual driver and Dashner Strauss Funeral Home LTD. The female plaintiff hopes for a judgment in excess of $100,000.
