Meyerkord, Meyerkord & Kurth, LLC: A Legacy of Legal Innovation

One man died and another is left in critical condition after an accident involving two ATVs. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, a 26-year-old male from Perryville was killed Friday night on northbound US 61 after his ATV rear ended another ATV. A 22-year-old male from Ste. Genevieve was driving a 1987 Yamaha Warrior ATV northbound on US 61 north of Route J shortly before 11:00 p.m. Friday night when it stopped. The 26-year-old man, driving a 2007 Yamaha Raptor ATV, struck the stopped ATV driven by the 22-year-old. As a result, both drivers were ejected. Emergency personnel were called to the scene of the crash and the 26-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The 22-year-old was rushed to Barnes-Jewish Hospital where he was listed in serious condition Saturday.
