Woman Dies in Lincoln County Crash

The Missouri Highway Patrol has reported a Moscow Mills woman died in Lincoln County yesterday. The 55 year-old woman was struck while attempting to make a turn off of Highway 47. While attempting the left hand turn, the woman came into the path of an oncoming truck. The trucker swerved left in an attempt to miss the woman, but he struck her and both vehicles ended up off the roadway. The truck overturned. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident. The trucker was not hurt in the collision, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Highway 47 in Lincoln County has seen several serious collisions in the past few months. Drivers should be cautious while operating a vehicle in that area.
