Houston 18-Wheeler Accident Closes Freeway
Posted By Meyerkord & Meyerkord, LLC
A Houston, Texas freeway crash closed lanes after an 18-wheeler
accident shut down the road for at least 7 ½ hours. Authorities reported
that weather conditions caused a driver to spin out. The driver then stopped
the vehicle in a moving traffic lane and went to find assistance. The
18-wheeler then hit the empty car while transporting gallons of bleach.
Luckily the driver was not in the vehicle at the time of the crash. A
heavy-duty wrecker had to report to the scene to help bring the semi upright.
18-wheeler accidents happen across the country each day. Drivers should
always remain vigilant when travelling as it is estimated that there are
over 2 million of these big rigs on the road. These trucks transport a
wide variety of goods across the United States and travel highways, interstates
and freeways. The trucks are so large in size that they have several blind
spots that make it hard to see other drivers on the road. Drivers should
always be weary of passing these trucks because of this reason. Also,
tailgating these trucks can cause accidents as well. A big truck does
not have a quick reaction time and cannot stop suddenly which can cause
a variety of accidents. Anyone hurt in 18-wheeler accidents need to contact
a personal injury attorney immediately. A seasoned personal injury attorney
will be influential in building a case for the victim and helping them
receive compensation for their injuries.
