Woman Struck By Three Vehicles And No One Stopped

|

A San Diego woman was killed in a horrific pedestrian accident after three vehicles ran her over and not one stopped to help. According to the San Diego Police, the 48-year-old woman was crossing the northbound lanes of Linda Vista Road on Sunday at approximately 10:30 p.m. when she was hit by three vehicles. Officials say the pedestrian accident occurred near Mesa College Drive when a southbound dark-colored sedan struck her first. She was then hit by a camper shell pick-up truck and then a red sedan. San Diego Investigators say not one of the vehicles stopped to provide aid to the woman who died at the scene.

Investigators say the woman crossed the street outside of the crosswalk in an ill-lit area. The Medical Examiner's Office of San Diego County reported the cause of the death was multiple blunt force injuries. The drivers involved in the hit-and-run accident could face charges ranging from leaving the scene of an accident to even manslaughter. The San Diego Police Department is conducting a thorough investigation of the accident and anyone with information should call (619) 531-2000. The woman’s identity has been released to the public.
