Ford Recalls Focus

|

A product recall has been initiated by Ford on their Focus hatchback cars with manual transmissions. The recall has been put on about 74,000 of their products in the United States and Canada. Ford claims that the recall has been put in place because the hatches on their product can be opened with too much ease while the vehicles are in motion because the hatch can be released with the push of just one button when the car is moving at a rate slower than four mph. According to safety standards put in place by the federal government, a hatch must be controlled by two actions rather than just one. It is unknown if any injuries have resulted from the defective hatchback.

As a consumer, you are protected by the product liability law. If a product is defective or faulty, then you have the right to hold the company liable. With the help of an attorney from Meyerkord & Kurth you can prove that the negligent company is indeed responsible for your injuries that resulted from their defective product. In order to prove liability, you must have evidence of one of the following: the product was made defective, the product design is defective, the product is very unsafe, or that the product did not come with necessary safety warning labels.

If you or a loved one have been affected by a defective product, contact Meyerkord & Kurth, a St. Louis-based law firm. Our team has the knowledge and experience necessary to settle your case. To speak with an attorney free of charge, contact Meyerkord & Kurth today.
