A Diamondale, Michigan man, was involved in early morning
accident when his vehicle slammed into a Marathon gas station. The car caught fire
after he hit a pole in the building. County officials reported that the
gas station was severely damaged at the front entrance. The driver received
treatment for minor injuries, and officials are investigating if alcohol
was a factor in the crash.
Vehicle accidents are not uncommon, and unfortunately, vehicle versus buildings
are usually caused by impaired or distracted driving. These accidents
can cause serious injuries not only the driver and passengers in the vehicle
but to innocent people who are inside the buildings or even standing on
sidewalks. Luckily the gas station appeared to be empty when the Michigan
man plowed through the building, but that is not always the case. These
accidents can cause detrimental injuries and life-altering limitations
not to mention mental and physical exhaustion. All of these can produce
large medical bills, long-term therapy needs and lost time wages. Always
contact a personal injury attorney if you are involved in an accident.
