Ford F-150 Trucks Recalled

|

Ford Motor Company will recall certain model year 2016 F-150 trucks that were manufactured April 27, 2015, thru November 22, 2015, and containing the Multi-Contour Seats (MCS). The recall is due to an error in the front passenger seat’s Occupant Classification System. The OCS can incorrectly classify an adult as a child when the passenger is using massage feature. This can cause the airbag not to deploy when necessary. Ford Motors will notify customers and update the software.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, frontal airbags have saved 25,782 lives between 1987 and 2008. Many consumers purchase vehicles based on safety features. Front passenger airbags are among the safety features that consumers depend on. Faulty features in your vehicle can cause severe injury and even death. Tragically, vehicle design flaws and mechanical defects result in thousands of deaths every year and those responsible should be held accountable. Consulting an experienced personal injury attorney can help determine if you have grounds for a case.
