As the weekend came to a close, a tragic auto accident claimed the life of a toddler changing the lives of those involved forever. On Sunday evening, an auto accident involving three vehicles occurred in Branson, Missouri. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that at approximately 5:30 p.m. a collision occurred with three vehicles along Gretna Road. All of the individual involved in the crash were taken to the hospital for injuries and tragically, a 3-year-old boy was killed in the accident. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be available within in a day or two.

The Association for Safe International Road Travel estimates that there are 37,000 fatalities as a result of traffic accidents in the United States each year. A vast majority of all traffic accidents are preventable and caused by the negligence of others. Speeding, distracted driving, fatigued driving, driving while intoxicated, design flaws, and mechanical defects are common factors in auto accidents. Fortunately, those who suffer injuries or the death of a loved one may be entitled to compensation for economic and non-economic damages in the event that another party is liable for the accident.
