OSHA Investigates Fatal Construction Accident

|

Currently, an investigation by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration is being conducted after an Ohio construction worker fell to his death on Monday morning. The 43-year-old fell off a 48-foot asphalt tank that was under construction in the suburb of Willow Springs. He was pronounced deceased at Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital just before noon. According to OSHA, the man was an employee of Lima International Tank Service, and he was working at a construction site located at 10100 Archer Avenue in Willow Springs at the time of the accident. The county's medical examiner’s office ruled his death an accident, reporting the man died from injuries sustained in a fall. OSHA’S investigation of the fatal construction accident continues. The agency has had no prior inspections of Lima International Tank Service in Willow Springs, Ohio.
