Tractor-Trailer Collides With ATV In Kansas

A major tractor-trailer accident in western Kansas seriously injures five people over the weekend. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a tractor-trailer struck an all-terrain vehicle in Copeland. The accident happened on Saturday night at the intersection of U.S. 56 and a county road. The KHP reports a 35-year-old driver of an ATV was struck by a 2015 tractor-trailer when he tried to make a left turn. The ATV was carrying four passengers including two children, and all were seriously injured. They were taken to a hospital in Garden City and their condition is unknown. The Florida man driving the tractor-trailer was trying to pass the ATV on the left when it struck the ATV. The tractor-trailer then lost control and rolled over into a ditch. The tractor-trailer driver was transported to a hospital in Dodge City. The tractor-trailer and ATV accident is under investigation.
