Woman Injured in Slip and Fall Accident at Mall

|

A woman has filed a lawsuit claiming she suffered injuries in a slip and fall accident at the St. Clair Square Mall. According to the complaint, Beverly Postar slipped and fell after she entered a bathroom stall at the mall in December of 2008. The plaintiff claims the toilet was not properly secured to the bathroom floor resulting in water leaking out. The wet floor caused her fall and she suffered injuries to her right hand, foot, pelvis, and teeth. The lawsuit claims the defendants, St. Clair Square Mall, ERMC II L.P. and Vic White were negligent in providing a safe environment and failed to warn costumers about the potential risk of fall. The defendants deny all allegations and believe Postar is responsible for her own injuries. She is seeking more than $50,000 in compensation for her damages.
