Illinois Woman Killed in Car Crash

A car accident in Illinois has resulted in the death of one individual and injured two others. The accident happened on Friday evening near Dupo, Illinois. According to the Illinois State Police, a female driver in her late 50s was operating a vehicle attempting to merge onto Interstate 255 southbound from Route 3 when she lost control. At approximately 5:20 p.m., the woman's vehicle struck another vehicle as she merged into the lanes of traffic. Authorities report that she did not have her headlights on and that two passengers in the other vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported by ambulance to a hospital. The Illinois State Police are investigating the crash.
