|

A tragic road crash occurred in Muskegon County, Michigan when E. K. was driving on Height Ravenna Road. The driver was trying to pass another car on the road when she lost control of her car. As a result, the car spun and collided with another vehicle on the road. Tragically, E. K.’s younger sister, was riding in the car passed away at the scene of the accident. She was not wearing a seatbelt. E.K. and her brother were taken to the hospital, as they were in critical condition after the accident. The driver of the vehicle that collided with the K's vehicle was given medical care and has been released from the hospital. According to the police, two contributing factors of the accident are road condition and speed. The accident is still being looked into for further information.

Speeding is a factor in one out of every three fatal accidents. In addition, slick road conditions are also a common factor in tragic accidents. When driving on icy or wet roads, it is of the utmost importance that drivers lower their speed in order to maintain control of their vehicles and prevent sliding.
