Yankee Candle Company Recalls Thousands of Candles Due to Laceration Hazard

|

The Yankee Candle Company is recalling around 31,000 candles due to laceration hazardous. The candles are part of the Luminous Collection and are square glass that contains three wicks and can crack when the candle is lit. They are approximately 4 inches wide by 5 inches wide, and six different scents are being recalled. The company reported that they have received 16 reports of the jars cracking, but no injuries have been sustained yet. The recalled candles were sold at Yankee Candle stores and on their website from September 2016 through November 2016. The company suggests consumers should immediately stop using the candles and contact the company directly to receive a full refund.

Consumers are protected by product liability laws which ensure that companies, manufacturers, retailers, and anyone else who create products available to the public are held responsible for any injuries that their products cause. Countless people are injured each year due to faulty or defective products. These injuries can cause serious injuries which can result in large medical bills. Anyone who is injured should immediately contact a product liability attorney. An experienced attorney can determine if you have grounds for a personal injury claim due to your injuries from a recalled product.
