Bus Crash Injures Six

Several passengers were injured in a bus accident in Belleville on Tuesday morning. According to authorities, a Metro Bus collided with a silver Hyundai Sonata, sending six people to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The bus accident occurred on West A Street and North First at approximately 11 a.m., according to the Belleville Fire Department. Police say the westbound bus struck the driver’s side of the southbound Sonata after stopping at a stop sign.

First responders reported injuries such as facial and neck injuries. The Belleville Fire Chief reported six people who were injured included three passengers from the bus and three occupants from the car. Emergency crews blocked the road for some time as they worked to clean up the scene. Identities of people involved have not been released.
