One Injured in Crash Between Two Semi Trucks

In Springfield, Tennessee one driver has been critically injured following a dual semi-truck crash. Furthermore, the semi-truck crash happed on Interstate 65 in Robertson County around lunch on Monday near mile marker 110. According to police the semi accident happened when 55-year-old, Danny Ray Batts rear-ended a semi driven by 32-year-old, Waleed Mikhail Youhanna.

At the time of the semi crash Youhanna was going up a hill and had just slowed down with his hazard lights on as he was struck from behind by Batts. Batts was in critical condition when he was transported to a nearby hospital. Youhanna was also injured but his condition is unknown. Luckily both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the semi crash.

According to police both drivers have been charged with false reporting of driving records of duty status, and Batts was charged with failure to exercise due care and for having an expired registration.
