Boat Accident Kills Hazelwood Man

|

As people are enjoying the last warm weekends of the year, a boating accident has claimed the life of a Hazelwood man. The accident happened at the Lake of the Ozarks when two boats collided. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 62-year-old Edward Sandt’s boat crossed in front of the path of another boat. The impact ejected Sandt from the boat, it turned back around and struck him. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Sandt’s brother Francis, 65, was a passenger on the boat and sustained serious injuries, and the other boat's occupant sustained minor injuries. The accident is being investigated.
