Kansas Police Searching for Bus Driver that Struck Pedestrian

Wichita police are searching for someone who may have information regarding a pedestrian accident that happened Tuesday morning. Furthermore, the pedestrian accident happened when a man was struck by a city bus at Roosevelt and Cessna, which is in the Planeview neighborhood.

According to police, the bus was headed northbound on Roosevelt and stopped at the stop sign just before it turned onto Cessna. Just then, the bus struck a 75-year-old man who was standing in the road. The man was taken to a nearby hospital and is currently in critical condition. At the time of the pedestrian accident, 10 people were onboard the bus, but no one witnessed what had occurred. All passengers on board were transported to another bus to reach their destinations. In addition, after the pedestrian accident occurred, the bus left the scene for about two hours afterwards. Police are now reviewing the camera on the bus for any information on how the pedestrian accident happened.
