Car Accident Leads to Shooting

An overnight car accident resulted in a confrontation where one individual fired shots at another. The accident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Friday in St. Louis. According to the St. Louis police, a 20-year-old male driver was operating his vehicle when he was involved in a collision with a vehicle driven by a 32-year-old man. The auto accident occurred in the 4200 block of Schiller Place, and both men exited their vehicles and a confrontation ensued. The argument became heated, and the 20-year-old man shot the other man in the torso. He fled from the scene of the accident, and his whereabouts are currently unknown. The victim was transported by ambulance to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition. The accident is said to have been minor, and no injuries were sustained. St. Louis Police is encouraging witnesses to contact authorities with information regarding the suspect.
