Police Search for Hit and Run Suspect

Police in Jackson, Mississippi are searching for the suspect of a fatal hit and run accident. The accident happened on Wednesday night at approximately 10:35 p.m. The Jackson Police Department responded to the intersection of Michael Avalon Street and Boling Street for a two-vehicle collision. According to authorities, 37-year-old Nekeith Newsome was operating a Toyota Corolla that collided with a Ford Crown Victoria. Witnesses told authorities that the driver of the Ford exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. Newsome was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, and police are looking for Quentin Brown, the owner of the Ford.
