E. Coli Linked to Costco Chicken Salad

|

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed that Costco chicken salad is responsible for several individuals sustaining E. Coli illnesses. There have been at least 19 people who have become infected across seven states in the U.S. Costco Wholesale stores sold rotisserie chicken salad that has been linked to E. Coli resulting in five individuals requiring hospitalization and two suffered kidney failure. The CDC does not know the ingredient within the chicken salad that is contaminated and on November 20th, Costco stopped selling the item. The states where individuals became ill are Missouri, Utah, Montana, Virginia, Washington, California, and Colorado.

All manufacturers of consumer goods must follow rules and regulations when producing all items. Vehicles, electronics, food, toys, and all other products are recalled numerous times every year, and often after an illness, injury, or death has been reported. Defective and dangerous products cause thousands of individuals to require treatment for their injuries which leads to physical, emotional, and financial damages. Product liability laws hold negligent manufacturers accountable for producing items that can harm consumers. If you have sustained damages due to a defective or dangerous product, you may have grounds to file a product liability case to recover compensation for your damages.
