ATV Accident Injures One

|

With unusually warm temperatures on Thanksgiving, many individuals were enjoying activities outdoors. This is true for an individual in Burlington, Kentucky, approximately 350 miles east of St. Louis, who was riding an all-terrain vehicle, ATV, near his home. Unfortunately, that individual sustained serious injuries when he lost control of the ATV along Woolper Road. The Boone County Sheriff’s Department, as well as the Burlington Police Department, responded to the scene of the ATV accident at approximately 5:30 p.m. Emergency crews transported the individual to a hospital via ambulance, and his condition and extent of injuries are unknown. The identity of the individual and the details of the accident were not made public at this time.

Auto accidents happen in various forms and for numerous reasons. ATV accidents, truck accidents, SUV rollovers, motorcycle accidents, and car crashes are some of the most common forms of auto accidents that result in thousands of injuries and fatalities each year. It is devastating that the majority of these accidents are preventable and typically caused by another party’s reckless actions. ATV accidents are caused by reckless driving, but can also be caused by dangerous roadways, mechanical defects, and design flaws. ATVs have a higher center of gravity causing them to easily overturn; however, a design flaw could lead to the vehicle unexpectedly overturning. After an accident, it is important to establish the cause.
