Man charged in connection with Massachusetts crash

A Brockton, MA man has been charged in the death of two people following a motor vehicle crash. On Wednesday, 27-year-old, Marcelino Correia was charged with multiple charges stemming from the fatal accident. The charges include two counts of motor vehicle homicide, two counts of motor vehicle manslaughter, to counts of motor vehicle homicide while operating under the influence, and negligently driving with a suspended license. From his hospital bed at Boston Medical Center, Correia pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The accident happened April 27, 2015 when Correia was fleeing from police and crashed his car. Likewise, Matthew Andrade and Denise Moreira were both occupants in Correia’s vehicle when it crashed. Both Moreira and Andrande died in the accident. Correia was injured in the crash, but is currently in fair condition and still in the hospital. Likewise, Correia is being held on $100,000 cash bail. Correia also has to surrender his passport, not have any contact with victim’s families, and will not be allowed to drive while the charges are pending.
