Man Sent Back to Prison for Drunk Driving

|

A Palatine, Illinois man has been sentenced to two years in prison for aggravated driving under the influence. The 35-year-old man was involved in an accident in November when he was found unconscious behind the wheel of his vehicle that had collided with two parked cars. He could potentially only serve one year in prison due to the guidelines on sentencing, but would be on parole for an additional year after he is released from prison.

In 2003, the same driver caused an accident that claimed the life of a 17-year-old girl. The 35-year-old collided with the teens’ vehicle after he drove into oncoming traffic in Kane County, Illinois. The girl was a high school senior at Larkin High School at the time of the accident. The man was found guilty of drunken driving and driving on a suspended license. He served five years in prison for that crash.
