Although Mother’s Day is typically a happy time of celebrating, one family’s day turned tragic after a vehicle crash claimed the life of one mom. Furthermore, in Laguna Beach, California a young mom and her two kids were involved in a car crash Sunday near Laguna Canyon and El Toro roads.
The crash happened when the two vehicles that were traveling opposite directions hit one another, causing both cars to spin out of control. 31-year-old, Sandra Maldando was extracted from her vehicle, and later died at a hospital. Maldando had her 5-year-old, and 8-year-old children in the vehicle at the time of the crash, and luckily both only suffered minor injuries.
An 86-year-old man that was involved in the crash is currently fighting for his life at a hospital and is in critical condition. The man’s wife was in the vehicle at the time of the crash and did not suffer many injuries. The man’s vehicle flipped over several times and landed on its wheels.
