|

Another hit-and-run accident has taken the life of yet another person in St. Louis, Missouri Sunday night. In addition, 64-year-old, Jerrel Nixon was hit and killed when a suspect struck him at the 2600 block of Natural Bridge. The vehicle was a 2011 Chrysler 200 and was speeding through a red light when they struck Nixon.

The suspect fled from the scene after they hit Nixon, and was caught Monday morning near the scene of the accident. The identity of the suspect is not been identified except is a 25-year-old. Nixon was somewhat well known throughout the St. Louis area as the “rose man.” When Nixon was found after he had been struck, dozens of rose petals were sadly scattered throughout the accident scene.

According to Nixon’s niece her and her late uncle ran Nixon Legacy Roses. Furthermore, Nixon was known throughout the downtown area for walking into bars, and other business selling roses, balloons, and stuffed animals.
