Two Illinois high school students killed in semi accident

|

Tragically, two Aurora, Illinois high school students were killed in a motor vehicle accident, which included a semi truck. Furthermore, the crash happened Tuesday evening on Route 38, which is west of Interstate 39 in Rochelle. In addition, six people were riding in a car when it hit a semi, and practically went underneath the trailer.

One person died upon impact, and a second died later at a nearby hospital. A third person is currently in critical condition. All were students at Aurora Central Catholic High School, and on their way to a school basketball game before the crash. Although the weather was foggy out at the time of the crash, it is undetermined if that played a role in the cause of the accident.
